ABOUT US
We are a social enterprise start up in the agribusiness sector. Unemployment is the number one issue facing many youths across Africa especially youth living in the rural and peri-urban areas. Our mission is to fund jobs along the agriculture value-chain (cultivation, distribution, light processing/value addition) for Africa youth. We do this by onboarding, providing financing, market access and advisory for youth interested in building a career along the agriculture value chain. By extension, we also provide advisory and financing to small retailers who lack growth and working capital to sustain their businesses and family income.
YOUR TASKS WITH US
You are responsible for the first customer contact, as an active member of the sales development team you will introduce and onboard: Youth Farmers who lack the resources (inputs, financing, and market access) for their farms, Retailers who require regular produce for their shops as well as inventory financing, and reliable Transporters/drivers who will regularly move produce from farms to our partner retailers. You will work closely with our sales team and make an important contribution to the further development of our sales process. As an active team player, you take on independent project responsibility from day one.
PRECONDITIONS
As support for our Sales Development Team, we are looking for a matchmaker who is interested in the topic of sales, is sociable and would like to mix up and digitize a (still) traditional area.
• You have successfully graduated in a business administration degree, Economics, Sociology, Philosophy, Communication, Marketing /related field of study
• Ability to make inference from available data mainly for market and business development purposes
• You have strong communication skills
• You have the desire to grow beyond yourself and develop yourself
• You are in the mood for a fast-paced start-up culture
• You are helpful and like to convince people when you are burning for something
• You are fluent in English and other Ghanaian languages
• Experience/passion in face-to-face marketing or sales is highly valued.
• Duration between 3 and 6 months
